Cancels Out
Two things have happened today:
1) I forgot about a noon doctor's appointment.
2) Leftover spaghetti in one of the conference rooms.
They pretty much cancel each other out.

Ah, but which is which? Were you glad to have missed the doctor's appointment yet unhappy that you then were in the office to encounter the half-chewed spaghetti strands and crusty sauce some slobs didn't clean up? Or were you bummed about missing that longed-for exam yet consoled by the presence of delicious spaghetti for the taking?
