25 minutes in...

...and already I'm pretty sure Annie Hall is the greatest movie I've ever seen.

I'm watching it while typing on my ibook and eating carrot sticks in my Ikea-donned apartment.

That's right everybody - I'm a living breathing stereotype. I think I'll reach over and take a sip from my diet coke.

You know what else is great? Freshly ground coffee. Man, don't you just love coffee? Smells so good. And Walden. You know. Thoreau!

Walden: not good.
Coffee: pretty good.
Annie Hall: good, I guess, but I prefer Manhattan.

Ben,

Walden: Never actually read it, just like saying "Thoreau."

Everything else: You're wrong.

But I never saw Manhattan.

Don't worry about being part of the "stereotype" unless you feel you've been forced into that situation. Honestly why do people gripe about others enjoying certain little pleasures and amenities...you know life's little comforts. If you wanna talk about things to despise...it's that. Other people hating on you for things you enjoy. If you really enjoy them who cares if it's stereotypical or not. See you in 6 days!

I feel I should follow that up to say that yes I am a hypocrite and don't understand why certain people enjoy certain things, but I try to corral my hypocrisy and not get down on them. I don't have to understand, but I can tolerate.

Yeah, you're right, nuts to other's opinions.

...but I work in a market research firm and am constantly grouping people into categories based on what they purchase and what they watch on tv, so it's easy for me to be like "ooh, I'm falling into that segment I looked at at work today!"

But Christine, there is no right and left. There is no Democrat and Republican. This entire country is made up of the muddled middle and fringe radicals. Or to say it another way...perhaps you are not like everybody else and they are all like you

I'm eating a poptart, watching Band of Brothers and drinking Diet Coke as I read your blog. What does that say about me? 1/3 preteen, 1/3 man, 1/3 American girl? At least you're "every woman." It's all in you!
